All Vintage Event presented by DNA & Mousevox @ Sub-Mission

This was the outfit I decided to wear to the All Vintage Everything presented by DNA and Mousevox event! I love love LOVE this vintage 1970s dress I thrifted at the goodwill sometime last year. It has been patienty waiting in my closet for the day I could wear it out. Good things come to those who wait, dress!

Anyways about the event. It was a lovely gathering filled with pretty vintage clothing vendors and awesome people. I got to meet Annalise from Hummingbird Girls and let me just say, she is just as sweet as I imagined her to be! I just wish I were a bit better at being more social when at gatherings like this because then I could really get to know people and even make some new friends. Oh well maybe next time.

I did however, manage to score a vintage collar dress from one of the vendors there for 20 bucks! It's a 90s rampage dress with a vintage aesthetic to it. As you can see below it is such a pretty dress and I already can't wait to wear it! Sorry that I couldn't take more pictures from the event, but my lack of social skills made it impossible for me to snap more pics. At least I managed to snap a few of my two good buddies; Hok and Natalie. Can't wait for the next adventure, guys!!!

A Post-Thanksgiving Day Outfit

Excuse me guys for the belated Thanksgiving post but it could not be avoided. I went into a turkey coma and I just woke up...nah, just kidding! I have been too busy enjoying life with friends and family, that I have not been able to find the time, to sit at my laptop, edit my pictures, and write up a post. I think you guys have all gone through this at one point or another. I mean...it's good to take time off the cyber world and take the time to enjoy the 'real' life!

As for the outfit, it was totally unplanned and totally last minute. I had so many outfits planned in my head, that my head, just decided to play a trick on me and go with this one instead. Shame on you head, but also a good choice! Yes, I talk to myself sometimes, but only when in agreement with myself. (insert smug smile here)

So do you guys like it?! Well if you don't, feel free to NOT leave a comment below, for my comment page does not accept any negativity. Unless... it's constructive negativity, in which case, I may just have to think about it. But really guys, a sign of life on this blog would really make my day. Oh and Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Polka Dotty

I have been hoarding this dress without wearing it, for like a year and  a half! I ordered this dress through Ruche, and I was so happy when I got it, and thought of so many ways to wear it, that I ended up not wearing it at all till this day. I always knew that I was going to wear it but somehow, I just never got around to it. Has this ever happened to you guys?

Sometimes you buy a piece of clothing with every intention of wearing it, but somehow, you just never do.
I sometimes think about all the cold and lonely nights it must have spent in my closet with all the other forgettables hanging in there, wondering how at any moment, it too would be the next in line to get donated. So sad and lonely are the days of a forgotten piece of clothing!

There are times when I say to myself: "Self... when are you going to stop shopping for more clothes and actually wear all the ones still hanging in your closet?!" I feel that most of the time, I ignore that part of me quite often, and I don't even bother to actually LISTEN to what I'm telling myself. I bet you guys are all saying how crazy I just sounded, but it's TRUE! Haven't you guys ever found yourselves saying the same thing?! Am I the only one who thinks this way or is it my mind playing tricks on me and my wallet?

All I know is that, I need to stop shopping and start going through my closet more often and wear the things I have in abundance in there. It's gonna be a tough road, but I gotta do it.
Sometimes I wanna do one of those 30 for 30 day things. You know, the challenge in which you wear 30 articles of clothing for thirty days to see how many outfits you can come up with. I wonder if I would have the discipline to do that?! It's a fabulous concept and whoever created it, deserves a medal for it. I mean, being able to make 30 outfits out of 30 articles of clothing and wearing only those for 30 days?! Is that even possible?! I think I may just have to try this out. Hmm????
