Happy Halloween prt 2

I'm Minnie Mouse! I just had to be her! I mean, there's just so much resemblance between us: she's fashionable, she's cute, and we both love CHEESE! Why wouldn't I be her?! Ha Ha!

As for the dress....I MADE IT! Originally this dress was floor length and had two slits running up the leg, probably a prom dress or something. So what I just did was, cut it up and added some trimming, and the rest is history! Oh and to top it all off, I belted it and added my newly thrifted Chloe inspired Nine West Mary Janes! I really like the mirrored effect on the heel. Tre cool!

So what costumes did you guys wear? Handmade or Store bought?

Fall Ready

Fall WAS here! Oh and by WAS, I mean that literally. This outfit was from early last week when it actually felt like Fall. However, as I write this a few days later, it has turned into Summer. Summer, for crying out loud!!! Who would have thought that it would turn into summer just a few days after?!

Oh well, that's California for ya. So anyways.... this outfit was mainly created around the skirt. I thrifted this pretty skirt with my mom a few weeks ago and boy was I lucky to have found this beauty! It is the only one other thing I have in my closet that is mustard colored. So to mix it up, I decided to throw on this floral green blouse to pull the look together. Came out kinda nice if I do say so myself. What do you guys think?

They have Arrived!

My new lovelies are here and boy am I HAPPY! It was like Christmas had arrived when the postman brought me my package at work. If you guys don't remember, these are the shoes that I was debating on getting in my decisions, decisions post. Well I bit the bullet and bought Both! But hey..... I live by the motto: "No shoes left behind".

Fall Florals

Fall is here! Or should I say, Fall WAS here. It has been really warm these past few days that I have been wondering if Fall will ever come, so that I may be able to wear all my new Fall clothes I have been acquiring lately. I have been contemplating on purchasing a pair of boots that I posted here. I really, really want them but I think I should probably start to pay down my credit card instead. But maybe, I can purchase them and then pay it down. What do you guys think?
Should I pay it down first or should I buy them and then pay it down?
On a different note, I wanna revamp my blog but I'm not sure how to really go about doing. Seeing how, my lack of html skills is lacking. Is there anyone out there willing to help or give me some kind of pointers? I would greatly appreciate it!
As for my dress, isn't it gorgeous?! I am really liking the waterfall effect that is on dresses these days. It's a refreshing take on the maxi dress look. As for the boots, since the dress was very feminine, I decided to tone it down by adding the moto boots. I guess I was going for that edgy look.

I Made Apple Crisp!

Yep it's true! The domesticated goddess in me has arrived and is here to stay!
I wasn't sure if it would come out okay, but it did! It was so easy to do! Now it's on to bigger and better things. Perhaps a cake maybe?!

A Light in The Dark

Polka Dot Blouse: Thrifted
Tank: Target
Belt, Sandals: Kohl's
Chip & Pepper Jeans: JcPenny's (vintage)
Necklaces, rings: Forever 21

I'm on a roll with my posting.....yes, sirree!!!! And if I do say so myself, it was about time! Anyways....this outfit was from Saturdays' awesome thrift adventure with my lovely sister and her pretty daughter. With this outfit, I decided to take casual up a notch, by adding this pretty polka dot blouse I found while thrifting with my father and mother two Saturdays ago. It seems that thrifting on Saturdays, has slowly turned into my Saturday Ritual. THAT....and dragging my mom to new thrift stores in different cities each week.
At Santa Rosa's Goodwill, I managed to find the main piece to my costume for Halloween. It's perfect for the look I wanted to do. Except the only thing, is that I will have to put my sewing skills to work because I plan on altering said purchase to make it fit better for the costume. I am not disclosing what my costume is because I am planning on putting up pictures of my lovely creation. Stay Tuned to find out what I go for!
Oh.... and as for the pictures, didn't they just turn out lovely?! I love the fact that they look kind of blurry and how the light is hitting differently in each photo. I almost look angelic! Yeah right.

Simply Floral

Green Cardi: Nordstrom Rack
Scrunchy-feeling floral top: Thrifted
Tank: Target
Wide-leg pants: Thrifted
Necklace: Forever 21
Nine West Wedge Sandals: Thrifted
Okay Tere, here it is! FINALLY, huh?! Well this outfit really isn't all that much exciting. However, it was the best I could come up with for that rainy and windy day. I'm not really sure I like it but eh, it's alright. The floral tank is from one of my thrift outings with my mother. She and I have really bonded over our shared love of really cheap and thrifted clothing.

Oh and sorry for the lack of post locations. I haven't really been in the mood to go out and have random strangers stare at me while I take my pictures. But hey I guess it comes with the territory!

DECISIONS, DECISIONS

So guys.....I am in a predicament. Should I invest in the boot or the loafer? I know both of these have nothing whatsoever to do with the other, well actually I take that back. They are both in the brown family and they are both leather! I am really loving brown leather shoes and bags right now. I am leaning more towards the loafer just because they could be used for work, not only play. However, the boots would be
awesome because they would keep me warm in the winter AND I do not have a pair of boots like this. So if you guys would help me in deciding for which to get, I would be very thankful. Oh.... and if my pretty fashionable niece is reading this, you can let me know what YOU think by texting me! Ha,Ha I put you on my blog without your parents consent. I'm so sneaky!

Leopard-y

Sheer Leopard Top, Tights: Forever 21
Tank: Target
DIY Shorts: Thrifted
Boots: Sam & Libby (Marshall's)

Excuse the absence guys. I know I said I would start blogging regularly but what can I say, life gets in the way, and sometimes it gets hard to make room for certain things. In this case my blogging. But I'm back and that's what counts!
On to the outfit! So this here was just something I quickly put together to be able to wear these shorts that I thrifted that were originally shorts to the knee, sort of like Bermuda shorts that I cut up and rolled the ends to make them look shorter. I think I did a pretty good job of sewing up the cuffs because they won't be unrolling any time soon. As for the top, I was feeling a little bit more dressy than normal so I opted to wear this top which looks really nice with these teal-ish colored tights.
The boots are one of my latest buys. I have been wanting a pair of short suede boots and when I saw these babies at Marshall's for $34.99, I could not pass them up. They will look really nice with some dresses and skirts that I thrifted with my mom these past few weeks. I will be showing said purchases in these following weeks so stay tuned. Oh and thanks again to my followers who continue on supporting me through my absences, I really appreciate all of you and thank you for all your comments.
