Feelin' Shakespearean

Hat: Ross
Cardigan, skirt: Forever 21
Tee: ?
Tights: Target
Flats: Chinese Laundry

So these pictures here, are from the Haight outfit pics. I really liked this outfit because of two things: my tee and my striped skirt. The tee; has Shakespeare's famous Romeo and Juliet quote: "Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou, Romeo?" Don't cha love it?!....and yes, I'm a hopeless romantic! I wanted to find a Shakespeare t-shirt from here, which I saw on one of my favorite blogger's blog Whatwouldanerdwear but I did not find one.Oh well......another thing I will have to search for. As for the skirt, I got it because of the pretty orange color and the quirky pattern of the stripes. Oh, AND.....it has pockets!!! I love all skirts with pockets even though I don't really use them. But still it's nice to know I have them available if I ever did! Don't you guys think so?

Berkley Thrifting

Top: Target
Floral Maxi Skirt: Etsy
Flat Sandals: Kohl's
Necklace: Forever 21
Handbag: Coach

Shopping excursions in Berkley are so much fun! You never know what you can find or the interesting people you will get to see! I was supposed to go thrifting/vintaging in San Francisco, but I ended up going to Berkley with a friend instead, and we had so much fun! We went to the Buffalo Exchange, Mars Mercantile, and Sway. I found a really cool vintage 1970s scarf at Mars Mercantile that I will be posting up later, and a cute pair of sandal wooden clogs at Sway. I had been on a search for wooden clog sandals and I finally found them for $27.00!!!!! Score!!! I was hoping to have found some pretty skirts and blouses but unfortunately I couldn't find what I was looking for. Hopefully next time I have more luck.
As for the skirt I'm wearing...isn't it just gorgeous?! This was my first Etsy purchase and let me just say, I am 100% satisfied! Thank you Pocketvintage1 for supplying me with this pretty skirt! I couldn't be happier! I think this will be a skirt that I will most likely be remixing a lot, be prepared! What do you guys think???

Embroidered Print Dress

Dress: Forever 21
Tank, Leggings: Target
Flat sandals: Kohl's

Embroidery! Yay! Isn't it lovely?! The embroidery and the colors of this dress, is what made me get it. It looks like I could have gotten it somewhere in Mexico or Central America because embroidered things like these is what is typically made in places like those. I remember going to the market with my family in El Salvador, and I remember the ladies sitting there making all these clothes, with these prints and I just wasn't into it..... now look at me! Rocking the same prints I had once disliked. Well..... somethings really change! I just wished I could have bought one of the hand-made ones when I was over there! Guess I'll have to go back and get one, or two!

Fenced In or Out

Cardigan: H&M
Dress, Necklace: Forever 21
Tights, Shoes: Ross
Sunglasses:Ray Bans

Another boring, slow day at work. If it keeps up like this, I may just have to do something drastic, like online surf the whole day! I mean, I know it's Memorial Day weekend, but geez people.......come get your money or put some in already!
Anyways.....On to the outfit! I decided to wear this dress today but now that I think about it, I should have worn pants because of how windy it was today. I almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment for crying out loud! I was attracted to this dress, not only because of the colors but also because of the pattern.
When I was getting dressed this morning, I was in a dilemma. It was whether to wear this grey cardigan or a mustard color one. Now that I am looking at the pictures, I should have gone with the mustard one. Oh well! What do you guys think?

Out of the Blue

Cardigan: Forever 21
Floral Blouse: Nordstrom Rack
Tank: Target
Slacks: Choice
Oxfords: Thrifted

Blue; the color of the sky, the feeling of sadness, the name of the moon in a song. All these things have the color blue, and all of these things at one moment or another, we have experienced. But for today......I am using the color blue as a way to channel the colors of the weather. This morning, it was blue and grey. Sad but true. However, later it got sunny! So really, I am channeling the weather of the morning only. Either way, I think these colors are really pretty combined together! The brown was thrown in to break apart the semi-matchy colors of the blues and grey. I think I did a good job?! What do you guys think?

I heart UO

My wants...

At work, and I'm working really hard.....haha! So... as you can tell, work is very,very,slow.....and I mean slow! I have been looking up things on the internet, biding my time, because it seems like banks aren't very popular when it comes to rainy days. But don't get me wrong, this is a good thing! I love being able to look up stuff on the net, but sometimes I run out of things to look up.....okay just kidding. So anyways, while doing my online shopping, I decided to Polyvore a couple of things I want. Hence the above creation! What do you guys think???? Isn't the skirt to die?! I think I might just get it!

Pink & Mint

Button-up Blouse: Target + (DIY)
Skinnies, Belt: Forever 21
Converse- Chuck Taylor's: Converse outlet

My day off today! Yay! So in honor of my having a relaxing work-free day, I decided to keep things simple by wearing something that didn't require much thought. This top, which I altered myself; originally had boring white buttons but I decided to spruce things up a bit and add silver fun looking buttons instead.  It really changed the look of the shirt and actually I think it gives it more life. I just wished I would have taken closer pictures of the buttons so that you guys could have seen them. The belt, is FLORAL! Gotta love those flowers!
My shoes, are a beautiful mint color. MINT! Don't you love it?! Although I have a hard time figuring out outfits around them, I still do love them. Any suggestions people?! Let me hear your ideas please!

Giants!

Zip-up, T-shirt: Sports Authority
Jeans: Mervyn's
Flat sandals: Kohl's
Hat: Gifted

Sorry guys for the sporty look today, but it was GIANTS DAY! Yep, I am proud to say that I am a Giants fan. My outfit for today was very game appropriate, since I was going to go and support my team. By the way ladies, that handsome guy next to me is not a boyfriend or anything, he is my brother. He is making his very first guest appearance on my blog to represent the fashionable guys of today. By the way.......his outfit is not vintage or anything of the sort. The panda hat is courtesy of some sports store, as well as his jersey I bet. No...we did not go out and kill some poor little panda to make this hat, so....no rioters please! I can definitely guarantee that no animals were harmed in the making of this hat!

Giants game!

At AT&T park watching the Giants play! Let's go Giants! Outfit to be posted later.

Polka Dots & Florals

Posted by Picasa
Dress, Tights, Sunglasses: Target
Lace Slip: Forever 21
Flats: Chinese Laundry

The weekend is finally here AND it was so sunny and gorgeous outside! I love days like this when I can finally shed my work outfits and wear my fun outfits! Today was a fun day. My mom and I went thrifting and she showed me this cool consignment shop that has everything from: Antiques, clothes, vintage stuff, and furniture. I wanted to buy these cool vintage chairs along with this pretty cherry wood table with little drawers but I couldn't afford all that. So to make up for it, I ended up buying CLOTHES! The last post shows what I got.
As for today's outfit, I opted for this cute little floral dress which I found on sale at Target . I decided to pair it with these polka dot tights to mix it up a little. I did however, had to wear a slip underneath this dress because unfortunately, the material was very thin to wear without anything under it. I like how this dress has hidden pockets and that it's the perfect length for me! I just wonder what other ways I can wear this dress.....any suggestions???

Look what I found!

Today my mother took me to the best consignment store ever! They had the most awesomest furniture,  along with the coolest clothes!  I couldn't contain myself and I found AND purchased these two lovelies! Stay tuned to see how I mix them up in an outfit. Comments appreciated!

My Special Little Guest

 Little Princess:                                                             Me:
Pink top, White Capris: Target                        Cardigan: Nordstrom Rack
Velcro sneakers: Gifted                                Blouse, Floral skinnies: Forever 21
 Cake Pop: Starbucks                                             Flats: UO

So as you guys can see, my special guest is none other than my little niece! She will probably follow in her favorite aunt's footsteps and become the future blogger of tomorrow! I mean if you take a look at her, she's got the outfit down to a tee, and the pose, well you guys see the pictures above! I guess it must run in the family. But as far as I can tell, I will have to get some pointers on my poses from her!
So as for the outfit, I didn't really have anything planned because today was my last final for the semester and I needed to study. So this was it! Sorry guys for the lack of effort in the outfit, but well......school is important!

What a hoot

Cacoon sweater: UO
Owl tank: Forever 21
Slacks: Choice
Oxfords: Trifted
Necklace: Gifted

Today, was another drab day (weather wise). But like I said in an earlier post.....there's nothing like wearing a pop of color to liven any dull day! Hence, the yellow sweater. But the real eye catcher here is, my owl tank! It's the most prettiest top I've seen at Forever 21 yet! The true color of the tank does not show up in the pictures, but the background color is a navy blue. Another feature that I wasn't able to capture on the tank, was the little zipper breast pocket. Besides the owls; that was what really reeled me in. Plus, it's the little things that count. Right?! Well.... I got this cute little treasure while going on a quick and random mini shopping spree with my friend. I barely mentioned Forever 21 and off we were heading right towards the light! Then.... amongst trying on loads of clothes and not liking any of them, I opted to buy this little gem. While my friend,on the other hand, pretty much bought the whole store! There's nothing like finding a good buy, when you didn't plan on buying anything in the first place. So all I can say about that is: SCORE!
