It was the best of times...

This is the last of the photos I had from my Canon digital Elph, and it wasn't that I meant to shoot with this camera but it was my carelessness that made me use it. I was getting ready to shoot with my precious new baby, the Canon T2i but little old me, forgot to put in the SD Card in the camera! Thus making it hard for me to save my pictures.

However, I was thankful that I had my trusty digital elph with me to save the day. It was a very windy day when I took these pictures, so don't mind my windblown frizzy hair. What can I say, a girl's got to keep it real! HAHA

As for the outfit, I wanted to wear something that had a bit of a pop, hence the teal sweater. I thrifted this baby along with a few other things at a thrift store in Petaluma, and boy, was I happy when I got it! I had been wanting a sweater in this shade for awhile, and I almost bought one at forever 21 but luckily, I decided to wait and found this one instead! Isn't the color just to die?!
As for the floral skinnies, I bought these 2 years ago at forever 21 and I'm really happy I did because I just knew they would be back in style again! What attracted me most about these pants is not only that they are floral, but that the florals are in the colors of teal, yellow, and light green...perfect for Spring!

I wish I would have taken a closer shot of the print on my pants but I had to hurry up and take the pictures before the rain came. Which in like 5 minutes after I took the last picture of the backpack... it started!  Oh well, atleast I managed to take some decent pictures!

This girl knows her facts and has awesome style!
Oh and just so you guys know, I now have an Instagram account so feel free to follow me there under my blog name. Oh and don't forget to also follow me on pinterest and bloglovin too! Byyyyeeeeee!!!!

She's Crafty!!

My first serious sewing project! I am in the midst of making these floral throw pillow covers for my sofas, to make my apartment more me. It's turning out pretty good so far, so I'm kind of proud about it. You guys know I loooove florals, and what better way to show how much I love them; than by exhibiting them on my couches for all to see! I could do a tutorial on them, but I don't know. Seeing how this is my first time making them, I may not be a good teacher to show you all. But I don't know...you guys tell me! Comments and opinions much appreciated.

Color Me Striped

A vintage inspired work outfit. The skirt was a vintage thrift find, so I had to wear it with my vintage scarf to complete the look. I think it turned out well. The scarf sort of adds to it as well. I would say more in this post but I am currently at work and our new manager just walked in to the building so I must cut it short. Lest I get a talking to for working while working. HAHA!

They're finally here!

My Dr Marten Victorian floral boots have arrived and I couldn't be happier! I have been wanting these for a few years now and o finally bit the bullet and got them. Aren't they gorgeous?!
I had to do some major research before I could finally call them mine but boy, was it worth it! Here is a little peak of how I styled them so far. Oh and by the way, they come with pink satin laces too....SCORE!

A Garden Full Of Surprises

These pics were taken in parents backyard. It was a perfect sunny day and it gave me the chance to wear these shorts that I DIY'd a while ago. They were bermuda shorts and I thought that by making them shorter they would look better. I think they came out pretty good, if I do say so myself!

In regards to the colors, I was feeling sort of fall-ish so I went for the darker clothing. It's amazing how your mood correlates with choosing your clothing. Take myself for example; when I'm feeling happy, I opt for brighter colors and when I'm feeling down, I opt for darker colors. However, I usually lean more towards darker colors even though I'm not feeling down. I think it has to do with my high school rocker days, when black was the only color I would wear. Oh how I miss those care-free days when wearing a towel on your head as a turban was seen as funny and fashion forward. Yep...I did that and NO I'm not saying anything more about it!

Escape From Captivity

So these pictures, along with 3 other post pictures I have yet to post, are from the my Canon Digital Elph camera. I want to put up the last of these pictures because I will now be posting from my Canon T2i which will be better quality, as I am in the process of learning everything there is to know about it.

I went to one of my new spots to take pictures with my T2i and it was a complete FAIL. Little old me forgot to put the SD card in my camera so I could not shoot with it, however I did have my trusty Digital Elph so I managed to snap a few pics with that one. Don't you guys ever have days when you think you are prepared and then you found out you really weren't. GRRR!!!!

So pretty much everything I am wearing in this outfit was thrifted. Except for the boots, tights, and scarf everything was. I was originally going to wear the dress without the red tee, but it was a little breezy that day and I felt like it needed a pop of color. I really like how it turned out because you can just see a bit of the red peaking out. I think that by adding the tee made the outfit a bit more girly because without it I felt it would be too edgy, which I don't have a problem with, but I just wasn't going for that kind of look.

So I know leopard isn't really in right now, but I don't normally stay up to date with the trends, I kinda just wear what I want, when I want. If I like it, I'll wear it and that's that. I truly believe that when it comes to fashion, you just gotta go with what you feel and wear what you like because I mean, everybody has their own opinions and they won't necessarily agree with yours. So take a risk, and just wear whatever you want, whenever you want.

A DIY + Gifts to Me!!!!

So the first thing I must mention is....I finally got a DSLR!!!! I am so happy! I simply cannot wait to start taking pictures with this baby! It's the beginning of a beautiful relationship people, so beware!
Secondly, along with the purchase of a new camera; one must also purchase a camera carrying bag! Which amazon so very kindly happen to find for me while I was browsing around on their site. What I love about it is that it's perfect to disguise what's inside AND it can also be used as a purse! Which if you can't notice, I am using this excuse to justify the purchase. Oh well......I needed it! Don't judge me.
As for the shorts, I wanted to get a pair of scalloped shorts when they were all the rage, but I was never able to find a pair I really liked, UNTIL...my random adventure to the thrift store this past weekend scored me the beauties above! But don't let the picture fool you; these babies were really long Bermuda looking shorts which I cut into scalloped shorts! What can I say.....I'm crafty! Haha! But yeah another few things I lucked out on in the shorts, was that they are floral and they are in a pretty shade of a coral peach, which is perfect for spring! I cannot wait to style these lovelies!
So that's it! Sorry I have no outfit shots, but continue on staying tuned for them!
