Blue Raspberry

Floral Blouse: Nordstrom Rack
Skirt: Forever 21 ?
Shoes: H&M

Sorry for the quick and sloppy picture guys! I didn't have much time to capture my outfit because this morning I was in a hurry to leave to work, and this evening I had to meet up with my sister's family for her anniversary. But anyways, this is what I wore to work today, kind of an impromptu outfit, but I think the colors worked. What do you guys think?

A Flower In The Rough

Skirt, Top, Necklace: Forever 21
Sandals: Kohl's
Purse: Thrifted
Sunglasses: Ray Bans

What is it about picking outfits, that just when you think you got it right, you actually got it wrong. Oh and by this, I mean in picking to wear this quarter-sleeved sweater-like top in 80+ degree weather. Why, oh why.... do I continue on torturing myself in order to stay fashionable??!! I mean where do we draw the line??!! Isn't there some point in our search for an outfit, that we start thinking realistically as opposed to unrealistically?
Oh well, at least I thought this outfit was cute! What do you guys think?? I probably should have consulted with the weatherman as opposed to sticking to my own opinions on the weather, huh?Oh and isn't my new thrift find cute? I found it at a new thrift store on Saturday along with another beauty I shall be sharing with you guys soon.

At the Drop of a Hat

Hat, Sandals: Target
Crop top, Purse: TJ Maxx
Skinny jeans, Necklace: Forever 21

Apartment stuff shopping day! Since I am on the search for an apartment, it's only fitting that I start to buy things to furnish said apartment. So that was the plan, but somehow, it turned into a clothes/purse shopping thrift day. It's so funny how quickly one goes from looking at pots and pans to trying on pretty blouses and cute purses. Oh well....one always needs those things as well, right?!
So what do you guys think of the outfit? I thought I would give the crop top look a try seeing how I have seen a few girls rocking this trend. I like the pattern and colors of this blouse, however I am still not too sure about the cropped look. I will have to wear this kind of top more often to let it grow on me. Do you guys have any suggestions as to how else to wear this trend??? Comments appreciated please!

Feeling Hopeful....kind of

Frayed Cardigan, Blouse: Kohl's
Tank: Target
Skinny Jeans, Necklace: Forever 21
Flats: Amazon (Lovely People)

So.... I am still on the search for my apartment and unfortunately, I have not had any call backs from both of the places I'm interested in. It's so frustrating! But.... I find hope in my everlasting persistence. However, I did manage to get a voicemail from one guy who said I can look at a place, but when i called to set up a day, it went straight to his voicemail. Ugh! Why does apartment searching have to be so frustrating?! Oh well, I guess I will have to keep on being persistent!
So anyways to make up for my discouraging moment, I compensated by wearing bright colors, which for some reason help me to feel better. Do any of you ever get this feeling from bright colored clothing? I do!

A Touch of the 70's

Scarf: Thrifted
Cardigan: Forever 21
Dress: Choice
Tights: Target
Flats: Chinese Laundry

Another beautiful sunny day........ stuck at work. I hate it that lately, when it's been gorgeous outside, it's a day I have to be at work. On the weekends, when one should be enjoying such beautiful days, it has to be ugly. Weather Gods, please make up your mind and deliver us nice, sunny, hot weather all summer long!
So to change things up a bit, I decided to wear this vintage 1970s scarf I found at a thrift store in Berkeley. Aren't the colors so beautiful and fun?! I must go back and get more pretty scarves to wear as headbands and belts! They are a nice way of adding a little extra something to your outfit, while also working to give you a new hairstyle. So what do you all think?

Peacock Pretty

Sweater: Target
Tube Dress(skirt): H&M
Flats: Chinese Laundry
Sunnies: Ray Ban
Handbag: TJ Maxx

Here's another two-in-one outfit! The skirt is actually a tube dress that I found at H&M a few years back. I almost ended up giving this little gem away but somehow, it begged me for another chance, so here it is! Aren't the colors and pattern beautiful?! That was really what made me keep it! I'm not much of a tube type girl but due to the exquisite color and pattern I decided to not part with it. I think I made a wise decision because I'm sure this little gem would have quickly found a home elsewhere. Sorry people....giving it another whirl!
As for the sweater, don't ask me why I was silly enough to wear a such a thing in 90 degree weather! I'm just Caraaazzzzyyyy like that! I think a few people would agree with that statement but that's a totally different story. So? What do you guys think? Good idea to keep the tube dress and remix it or not?

Everything's Coming Up Roses

Tank: Target
Floral Jumpsuit, Necklace: Forever 21
Flat Sandals: Kohl's

So this outfit is actually a two-in-one because these floral pants as they seem to be, are not, they are actually a jumpsuit! The reason for said jumpsuit not being a jumpsuit, is because I haven't got used to the fact of wearing something like this. It's almost like wearing a jumper and feeling like I'm 8 again. I will have to break from this feeling because it actually does look pretty cool!
So anyways I turned them into genie pants by rolling down the halter part of them. Very creative, huh?! So what do you guys think??? Should I have let them run free in all their jumpsuit glory or should I continue on keeping them captive?

I have been running around getting stuff for my apartment so this will have to do for today.  Sorry everyone!

SUMMER

SUMMER

I really want the above items, if not now, then sometime in the future and definitely, not in any particular order either! I really, really, really want that butterfly globe for my apartment but unfortunately, it cost an arm AND a leg! Oh well......I guess I will have to find something like that in a more affordable price.
I also want both of those sandals, however these are also a bit too much. Why does everything I like have to be so darn expensive??!!! Please Urban Outfitters lower the price on these beauties so that I may get my hands on them! Oh and the dress, which is also from Urban, I succumbed to it's gorgeousness and I ended up buying it in a different print....now I wish I would have bought this one. Why oh why do I have to be so undecisive sometimes??!! Do any of you ever go through this???

Making it Work

Cardigan, Tank: Target
Skirt, Shoes: H&M
Necklace: Forever 21

I'm baaacccckkkk!!!! First of all, I have to say.....I'm not really happy with the choice of color in my tank and I'm sure you guys will agree with me. It's the color of cement and who thinks cement is fashionable and fun??!!! Not me. I feel that this skirt would have done much better with a different color or even if I would have just opted to wear a black tank and let the skirt be the focus. But, I'm not going to lie.....I was out of outfit ideas today! Everything I wanted to wear didn't seem like it would work for today and on top of that I was unsure if it was going to be as hot as it was yesterday. It's a good thing I wore a skirt today because it was definitely much hotter than yesterday! FINALLY!
Any ways, here is my outfit. Comments are greatly appreciated regarding my choice of tank color please!! Oh and if you guys have any suggestions on what other tops I can wear this skirt with, that would be very helpful.

All belted up

Denim Jacket: Thrifted (DIY)
Dress: Ross
Belt: Vintage
Leggings: Target
Boots: Jildor

Ikea Day! Yay! Today I went to Ikea to look at some furniture I am interested in getting for my apartment I will be moving into. I am so excited because this is the first time I will be living on my own! Yep, on my OWN..... no roommate, and no parents! It's exciting and a bit terrifying at the same time because of all the responsibilities that come with moving out. But I am ready!
So anyways, on to the outfit! This whole outfit revolved around one thing....the belt! I got this beautiful belt at Skirt Chaser Vintage in Santa Rosa for a bit more than I would have wanted but it was worth it! I mean it has all the colors of the rainbow and on top of that, it's from the 1960's! I love that era! I think that if I would have a chance to go back in time, I would choose the 60s. What would you guys choose?!
