Fall Florals

Fall is here! Or should I say, Fall WAS here. It has been really warm these past few days that I have been wondering if Fall will ever come, so that I may be able to wear all my new Fall clothes I have been acquiring lately. I have been contemplating on purchasing a pair of boots that I posted here. I really, really want them but I think I should probably start to pay down my credit card instead. But maybe, I can purchase them and then pay it down. What do you guys think?
Should I pay it down first or should I buy them and then pay it down?
On a different note, I wanna revamp my blog but I'm not sure how to really go about doing. Seeing how, my lack of html skills is lacking. Is there anyone out there willing to help or give me some kind of pointers? I would greatly appreciate it!
As for my dress, isn't it gorgeous?! I am really liking the waterfall effect that is on dresses these days. It's a refreshing take on the maxi dress look. As for the boots, since the dress was very feminine, I decided to tone it down by adding the moto boots. I guess I was going for that edgy look.

Tights: Ross
Necklace(which you can barely see): Forever 21

I Made Apple Crisp!

Yep it's true! The domesticated goddess in me has arrived and is here to stay!
I wasn't sure if it would come out okay, but it did! It was so easy to do! Now it's on to bigger and better things. Perhaps a cake maybe?!

A Light in The Dark

Polka Dot Blouse: Thrifted
Tank: Target
Belt, Sandals: Kohl's
Chip & Pepper Jeans: JcPenny's (vintage)
Necklaces, rings: Forever 21

I'm on a roll with my posting.....yes, sirree!!!! And if I do say so myself, it was about time! Anyways....this outfit was from Saturdays' awesome thrift adventure with my lovely sister and her pretty daughter. With this outfit, I decided to take casual up a notch, by adding this pretty polka dot blouse I found while thrifting with my father and mother two Saturdays ago. It seems that thrifting on Saturdays, has slowly turned into my Saturday Ritual. THAT....and dragging my mom to new thrift stores in different cities each week.
At Santa Rosa's Goodwill, I managed to find the main piece to my costume for Halloween. It's perfect for the look I wanted to do. Except the only thing, is that I will have to put my sewing skills to work because I plan on altering said purchase to make it fit better for the costume. I am not disclosing what my costume is because I am planning on putting up pictures of my lovely creation. Stay Tuned to find out what I go for!
Oh.... and as for the pictures, didn't they just turn out lovely?! I love the fact that they look kind of blurry and how the light is hitting differently in each photo. I almost look angelic! Yeah right.

Simply Floral

Green Cardi: Nordstrom Rack
Scrunchy-feeling floral top: Thrifted
Tank: Target
Wide-leg pants: Thrifted
Necklace: Forever 21
Nine West Wedge Sandals: Thrifted
Okay Tere, here it is! FINALLY, huh?! Well this outfit really isn't all that much exciting. However, it was the best I could come up with for that rainy and windy day. I'm not really sure I like it but eh, it's alright. The floral tank is from one of my thrift outings with my mother. She and I have really bonded over our shared love of really cheap and thrifted clothing.

Oh and sorry for the lack of post locations. I haven't really been in the mood to go out and have random strangers stare at me while I take my pictures. But hey I guess it comes with the territory!

DECISIONS, DECISIONS

So guys.....I am in a predicament. Should I invest in the boot or the loafer? I know both of these have nothing whatsoever to do with the other, well actually I take that back. They are both in the brown family and they are both leather! I am really loving brown leather shoes and bags right now. I am leaning more towards the loafer just because they could be used for work, not only play. However, the boots would be
awesome because they would keep me warm in the winter AND I do not have a pair of boots like this. So if you guys would help me in deciding for which to get, I would be very thankful. Oh.... and if my pretty fashionable niece is reading this, you can let me know what YOU think by texting me! Ha,Ha I put you on my blog without your parents consent. I'm so sneaky!

Leopard-y

Sheer Leopard Top, Tights: Forever 21
Tank: Target
DIY Shorts: Thrifted
Boots: Sam & Libby (Marshall's)

Excuse the absence guys. I know I said I would start blogging regularly but what can I say, life gets in the way, and sometimes it gets hard to make room for certain things. In this case my blogging. But I'm back and that's what counts!
On to the outfit! So this here was just something I quickly put together to be able to wear these shorts that I thrifted that were originally shorts to the knee, sort of like Bermuda shorts that I cut up and rolled the ends to make them look shorter. I think I did a pretty good job of sewing up the cuffs because they won't be unrolling any time soon. As for the top, I was feeling a little bit more dressy than normal so I opted to wear this top which looks really nice with these teal-ish colored tights.
The boots are one of my latest buys. I have been wanting a pair of short suede boots and when I saw these babies at Marshall's for $34.99, I could not pass them up. They will look really nice with some dresses and skirts that I thrifted with my mom these past few weeks. I will be showing said purchases in these following weeks so stay tuned. Oh and thanks again to my followers who continue on supporting me through my absences, I really appreciate all of you and thank you for all your comments.

Parking Lot Antics

Chambray Top, Tank: Target
Black Skinny Jeans: Forever 21
Scarf/ Headband: Thrifted
Purse: TJ Maxx
Flats: Mervyn's
Sunglasses: Ray Bans
Necklace: Gifted

Excuse the picture heavy post, but what can I say..... I was having fun! These pictures were taken on day when it looked like it was going to rain but fortunately, it didn't! These pictures were taken at this location because we were taking a racing car out for a spin, and since we were already out here, I said 'why not take advantage and make it a blogger picture day?!' So we did and I liked how the pictures came out, so here they are!
As for the outfit, it's sort of a late 50s early 60s inspired outfit. It's sort of like an Audrey Hepburn-esque outfit. If my pants were a bit shorter and I hadn't opted to wear the chambray button-up I would have had it right. Oh well, I like my version of it because it's MINE. The scarf/headband thing was one of the items I got while thrifting last Saturday. It's awesome, huh? So do you guys like the outfit? Hepburn-esque or not?

Thrift/Vintage Spree!

Hat: Ross
Embroidered Tank: Thrifted
Jeans: Marshall's
Sandals: Sway
Ring: Forever 21

Hooray for Saturdays! Okay so these pictures were from when I went to visit my mom to go thrifting/vintage shopping in Petaluma. I really like the look of this outfit because it kind of reminds me of the 60s/70s for some reason. It's probably the carefree look of it. I really didn't put much thought into this outfit like I  normally do because the previous night was somewhat of a blur. But this blog is about fashion and NOT of my life! (wink)
So anyways, my mom and I went and did some damage at a few thrift stores, or should I say, I did the damage! Oh well.... a girl needs to treat herself some times, right?! So as for the things I bought, they were all things I am going to need for Fall, so I don't feel too bad I spent the money. Besides, I got a lot of things for what one item would normally be.
My thrift store items were: a cute little argyle sweater, a sheer button-up blouse, a vintage leather camel colored jacket, which looks AWESOME! I can't wait to wear it when it gets cold! We also discovered a vintage shop in Petaluma that I had never been in before, and I scored some really great things! The store is called Chick-A-Boom Vintage and they have EVERYTHING, and I mean everything! I got a 1950's dress which I will be wearing and posting soon, a 1950s blouse, and another dress that I will wear for my works' company party. I can't wait to go back and score some other great items!

Belated Labor Day

Crop Top: TJ Maxx
Shorts: Ross
Belt: Forever 21
Sandals: Kohl's
Bag: Thrifted
Headband/Neckscarf: Thrifted
Sunnies: Ray Bans

Sorry this post is late but I have been busy catching up with school, working, and car issues. But.....not to worry, I am back and into the swing of things! So anyways, this picture was from the picnic/ birthday party I went to for my dad at the beach. It was a really nice day and everyone seemed to be at the beach,
So for my outfit, I decided to keep it casual since it was hot, but not enough so that I had to wear even less clothing. I really like the look of this outfit, however, I do not like the look of my pasty white legs. Boy do I need a tan! Oh well, maybe next summer! So what did you guys do for Labor Day? Any exciting plans you care to share with me? Let me know!

Lucky Thrift Finds

White Button-up: Thrifted
Tank, Tights: Target
Shorts: Forever 21
1950s/60s Purse: Vintage, Thrifted
Necklace: Thrifted
Sling-back flats: Etsy
Oxfords: Buffalo Exchange

So.... before I go and start my rambling on this outfit, may I just say: I LOVE my new purse! Isn't it it just lovely?! I FINALLY managed to buy this purse after keeping my eye on it for a few months now. I saw this beauty while thrifting with my mom a few months ago at our local thrift store. It had been sitting on the shelf, being ignored by everyone, and collecting dust. But because I saw it's true beauty I could not pass it on any longer. The purse is from the 50s early 60s, and it has a two pockets and one in the middle that closes with some king of gold hardware. I'm not really sure what you call those but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. So this Saturday, I snatched it up and made it my own! Not only did I buy a few other goodies at this this thrift store but, my mother and I managed to go to a new thrift store in Petaluma and boy, did we score big!
At the one in Petaluma, I managed to acquire this beautiful hand painted necklace. I'm not sure from what time period it could be, but I knew I had to have it. Plus, it has flowers on it and you guys know of my love for anything floral.
So as for the outfit, I had been wanting to get shorts like this for a while now and I finally bit the bullet, when I was shopping at Forever 21 with my friend. I am really liking the sorts with stockings trend because it allows me to show some leg, without REALLY showing leg. Ha ha. Do you guys like it? Oh and as for my white button-up, I'm trying to adjust to it because I don't really like to wear white but people tell me it looks good on me, so I may just wear it a bit more. Please share your opinions with me on the matter and thanks to all my followers who continue on supporting my blog, even when I haven't been posting regularly. I really appreciate it!!!
